Headline: DIVERSE/LTSN-01 reports highlighted in new Department of Health Consultation Document
Story: The Department of Health yesterday (15 June 2004) launched a new consultation document entitled: ‘Sharing the challenge, sharing the benefits – Equality and Diversity in the Medical Workforce: Workforce Directorate’. This document outlines the key equality and diversity challenges facing the medical workforce over the next 5 years, highlights good practice where it exists and seeks view and comment from stakeholders on how best to tackle these issues. The reports ‘Pushing the Boat Out’ and ‘The Sequel to Pushing the Boat Out’ – written by DIVERSE Director Anne Tynan and published by LTSN-01 – are highlighted several times in the document as highly valuable pieces of research.
