The role sits within the University of Melbourne's prestigious Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. As the Director of Medical Student Education you will have a medical qualification recognisable in Australia and will be responsible for the organisation and implementation of the Rural Clinical School programme. This will include leadership in curriculum development and implementation of the new Melbourne curriculum, commencing clinical training in 2012, in the rural towns of Shepparton, Ballarat and Wangaratta and other small centres. You will also lead development and organisation of clinical examinations, deliver and oversee pastoral care for students and have overall supoervisory duties for Rural Clinical School medical students.
This role is located in the major regional centre of Shepparton which is both a vibrant arts community and has excellent local and independent schools. Salary: AUD$108,946 - AUD$120,025 p.a. (pro-rata) plus a clinical differential loading of AUD$18,778 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.
