The Resource Archive for Teacher Trainers (RAFTT) provides a means for the exchange of teacher training resources and for their review and enhancement. It is also a forum for sharing good practice and discussing issues of interest to the community. A range of resources have already been deposited on the site and these are available to download and use in teacher training programmes. The resources are classified into the areas of activity defined by the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and supporting learning in higher education.
Please note that in order to access the RAFTT area you will need to join the RAFTT community of practice. The only condition of membership is that you are currently or potentially engaged in the professional development of teachers of medical, dental or veterinary education. If you would like to join, please email Gillian, for a username and password.
You will then be able to use and adapt these resources as you wish, though you should always acknowledge their source. It is not an absolute condition of use, but we do hope that you will find some time to give a review of any resources you actually use, as this is how the quality and usefulness of the resources is enhanced. Please note also that these resources are all held under a creative commons licence.
Each resource is classified into one or more of the ‘areas of activity’ of the Higher Education Academy Professional Standards.
Our thanks to Professor John Spencer of the University of Newcastle for this presentation (with speaker's notes) on Motivation A short exercise on motivation.
