Centre for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning

The Centre for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning is the University's academic staff development unit. It has established a strong track record in enhancing teaching and learning across the University and in scholarship and research into teaching and learning in higher education. Professor/Associate Professor in Assessment in Higher Education

Applicants should have substantial experience and a strong track record in developing assessment of student learning in higher education with a focus on criterion-/standard-referenced approaches to assessment. Applicants would also be expected to have experience in academic staff development and enhancement of student learning in higher education.

Applicants for a Professorship should demonstrate excellence in scholarship and research, and leadership in curriculum and pedagogy development of international standing.

The appointee is expected to: (a) advise Faculties on assessment, curriculum, teaching and learning innovation in connection with the 4-year undergraduate curriculum reform; (b) provide academic staff development opportunities in various forms, including seminars, workshops and courses; and (c) conduct research on teaching, learning and assessment in higher education as part of the University's strategic plan.
